My New Art Wall in My New Playroom!!

Now, I can hang all of my art in my playroom and rotate it with new work. Enjoy!

Counting, Colors, & Shapes

For this project, I was told to glue the correct number of shapes in the cooresponding number box. For example, in the first box there is the number one with a shaded circle next to it. Therefore, I chose the single purple circle and glued it inside. I continued on for all the shapes and numbers up to 5 all by myself! I have a new love for glue.

Mosaics

Yesterday, I visited the magic gardens. I learned what a mosaic is and met Isaiah Zagar himself. He showed me a chair that he had made and let me sit in it beside him. After wandering about the gardens and gazing at all the materials mosaicked to the wall, I went home and made my own mosaic!

The beach!

On a rainy day, I took foil and helped poke holes in it to make a shape. I then put the foil overtop of a flashlight. On the ceiling and walls, I looked at the starry shape revealed. I also made a fort out of blankets for reading time (and more flashlight fun)!
Spring bunny craft!
I painted this picture for my Dad for his birthday. In the left corner in red is him, and I am the purple figure. Up top, I asked my nanny to paint a moon and a sun. I then, painted overtop of them. Happy Birthday Dad!

Firetrucks!

On Wednesday's, I attend music class with all of my friends. After music, I typically walk home with my friend Harrison. On our walk home this week, we noticed the fire station garage was open and inside was a huge red firetruck! The firewoman was very kind and let Harrison and I sit in the firetruck and walk around and look at all of the equipment. Harrison and I loved it! After visiting the firestation, we each painted a red firetruck and glued yellow squares on the paper to represent the lights.

The weather outside was rainy today. So, in an effort to make the sun reappear, I decided to paint it! I first put red paint on a paperplate and spread it around. Then, I spread yellow paint on top of it. The result was an orange sun!

For: My Mom

I have recently learned about Spring. So, for Mother's Day I made my Mommy a bouquet of my handprints. I also made her a picture of thumbprinted bees and flowers made out of cupcake liners with green handprints for grass. I love my Mommy!

My Box House!

This week, we read Iggy Peck, Architect by Andrea Beaty and illustrated by David Roberts. We then created our own house out of a cardboard box, and decorated it with markers.

I colored a sky on the roof of my house. There were holes added for stars.

The Alphabet

C is for corn! That is why I have glued corn in the shape of a C. C is also for cookie! That is why I have glued one of my new Alphabet cookies to my orange paper!

I am currently learning the letters of the Alphabet. As I learn, I will be sharing my letter art. So far, I have been using cardboard from our recylcing bin as a way to make letter stamps.
